I would like to introduce my newest Parrot toy I call the Flexi Toy.  Upon initial inspection, it looks like a traditional parrot toy with nice, chewy, delectable chunks of Bottlebrush and colored cotton rope and rawhide.  However, that's where any similarity to existing parrot toys end.

The first and most important thing this toy offers is Bottlebrush.  Soft and chewy on the outside, your parrot will adore Bottlebrush.  However, here's the good part for both your parrot and you.  

Your parrot will have Bottlebrush to chew and gnaw for a long time.  Your parrot will enjoy removing the soft outer bark, however, the more that is removed the harder and more challenging Bottlebrush gets.  A typical Bottlebrush toy can provide 6 months or more of serious chewing for the most ferocious chewers.  For your average chewer, one of these toys will satisfy your chewer for years.

Ever wonder why you go to your local parrot or bird store, spend a lot of money on chew toys for your parrot, and they are destroyed in a matter of hours.  The dirty little secret about parrot toys is that they are designed for exactly that.  My dealers used to refuse to buy my Bottlebrush Parrot toys because they said they lasted too long.  Sad but true. You will save a small fortune because you will buy one or two of these toys and they will last a LONG time. 

Now, this is where the similarity to existing toys end.  Instead of using chain, I use a completely flexible center core.  These toys can be hung virtually anywhere.  Your parrot can climb on it, easily hold on to it and go to town chewing and gnawing.  Sounds like great fun to me.

However, it gets better.  Being flexible, you can shape this toy into any shape you want.  It has a Quik link on one end with loops on both ends.  Add a second quik link, bend it at a 90 degree angle and this toy would be great for serious chewing in the corner of a crowded cage.  Use your imagination here!

It still gets better.  For those of you with Macaws and parrots with longer tails, you know that when these parrots enter and exit a traditional swing, they tear up their tails.  Guess what, these Flexi Toys make a TOTALLY AWESOME PARROT SWING.

The one pictured here would be sized for a large, full sized Macaw.  Tons of great chew stuff and a great swing to boot.  As you can see, Rio, My Severe Macaw was desperate to sink his beak into this one.  However, don't fret, he's been enjoying his prototype model for about 6 months.  He spends a good couple of hours a day enjoying his swing.  He really gets it rocking too.

For those of you with my Bottlebrush Play Gyms, there is another great use for my Flexi Toy.  My Play Gyms have a perfect spot to hang this toy from.  On the left side, under where the Play Gym perch toy is mounted, is an open space.  This toy was designed to fill that spot.  Either set up as a swing, or straight up and down, here's another way to make your Bottlebrush Parrot Play Gym the perfect home for your parrot.  That's the idea.

As you can see from this pic, these make an awesome cage accessory whether used as a swing or chew toy.  NOTE.  This one pictured is Macaw sized.
